Blush is the double room. Two headboards, each architectural — sculpted wood with ornate framing — facing the same direction without competing. The terracotta walls are the exact shade of warm that late afternoon light produces on its own. The portrait mounted between the beds depicts something that appears to be a gnome in a gold oval frame. It is inexplicable and entirely right.
The sconce lighting between the beds is the right warmth — just enough amber to make the room feel chosen rather than assembled. The bathroom is tiled in black and terracotta checks. Two people can share this room without becoming an inconvenience to each other. That is the kind of design that doesn't announce itself.
